Launching My Site

This is the official launch of my Writing web site. I suppose this is the equivalent of a Vanity press, just much less expensive. Back in High School when I got (well-meaning, perhaps misplaced) encouragement from my English teacher, I sent a few short stories to Science Fiction magazines for consideration, and rightfully received them back with rejection notices. I've read that O Henry received very many rejections until he finally got accepted, but I'm no O Henry, and I lost faith in those stories right away. I continued writing nonetheless, and as time went on the frequency decreased and the fire died down to a very very small ember.

I eventually moved on to Technical Writing as a career, and Creative Writing took a back seat. As I moved on through life, ideas for stories would occasionally lodge in my mind, and the ones that truly excited me would occasionally drive me to write down a sentence, a paragraph, and maybe a page. or two I finally, very meagerly, accumulated a very small set of stories which I am now willing to share. Now that they are out there in the world, etched in bits and bytes on some virtual server somewhere, I hope this will inspire me to write and publish some more.

If you enjoy them, so much the better, and thanks. If not, well, thanks anyway for giving it a try.
